RHEL 4 to support Indian languages

Yes that's right. RedHat plans to pick up all the work done by the localization groups in India and add all the GPL'ed stuff to RHEL. They plan on adding 5 new languages taking the supported languages count to 15 from 10 which was the case with RHEL 3.

And I'd be pretty damned if these supported languages turn out to be: Hindi, Gujrati, Bangla and Tamil. I can only imagine what the fifth one would be. The contenders are: Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi.


We'll see what comes off this :)
