Catch Me If You Can
You have heard of the movie right? If so, then you'd probably know that it is based on a true story. Actually a novel by the same name by Frank W. Abagnale Jr. - the main protagonist in the story.
According to crimelibrary Frank was a con man, a master at the art of forgery and deception.
The movie starring Tom Hanks as FBI agent Carl and Leonardo Di Caprio as the master con artist Frank was released in 2002, directed by Steven Spielberg. If you don't know who these people are, believe me sir, you are not into movies and will never be.
The movie depicts Di Caprio's character often fooling the FBI. All this between the age of sixteen-to-twenty.
After his final capture, he was offer a second chance by the FBI. He became an advisor in cheque forgery cases, himself being an expert at forgery, he was the best man for the job. He still continues to assist the FBI and has written several books on forgery.
Frank has also devised many new system which are now implemented by banks for making cheques to prevent forgery, having made several millions through this process. He also continues to be good friends with Detective Carl of the FBI, the man who never let Frank off, caught him in France, got him extradicted to the U.S. and then offered a job in the FBI.
A must read book and a must watch movie. Although the movie has twisted some facts. Like, once Frank took a flight off the Hawai International Airport using eight girls as cover. The movie shows him duping close to twenty FBI agents and taking a flight out of there, while in fact he had fooled close to 200 agents.
A must watch in any case.
